GPA Shows Great Support for Cops and Kids Program

The 2013 Cops and Kids Christmas Campaign finished in December of 2013, and we had success once again in supporting those less fortunate in our community.

This Annual fundraising campaign is about the children in our community who would not have a special Christmas morning if it wasn’t for the generosity and teamwork within our Service.

2013 Highlights:

We are proud to say this year we assisted eleven local families, and supported 28 children.

It is important to recognize and thank each of our members and the volunteer shoppers who each year do a remarkable job and sacrifice time from their own families to help shop for our designated families.

We recognize Chief Larkin, for his support, along with the SOA and the Guelph Police Services Board for their generous and ongoing financial support. This year, a large cross-section of our Service worked towards our annual goal, and the committee staff were very committed to meeting our 2013 objectives.

This is another great example of how the GPA members help make Guelph a better community.
