A portrait of Constable MacAulayConstable Walter E. MacAulay

On April 4, 1964, while off duty and downtown with his 5 year old daughter, Constable MacAulay went to the assistance of a fellow officer who was trying to arrest a motorist. MacAulay's arms were trapped in the door of the car as the suspect drove off. He was dragged 500 feet before being impaled on another vehicle's tailgate section. He died the following day of injuries received.

Constable John 'Tail Light' TeevensA portrait of Constable Holloway

On December 9, 1939, at approximately 9pm,  Cst. Teevens was struck by a drunk driver while directing traffic on Wyndham Street North. He never recovered from his injuries and died from them on January 27, 1945. The driver received a 15 day sentence to County jail, had his car impounded for three months and was prohibited from driving for two years. Somehow, he was missed by GPS as an on-duty death.

Constable William M. HollowayA portrait of Constable Holloway

On May 2, 1922, Cst. Holloway and Cst. Brash were on bicycle patrol after having their midnight lunch at the station. They noticed a car travelling on Eramosa Road at a high rate of speed. The officers stood in the roadway waving their arms to signal the driver to stop. The vehicle failed to stop and struck Cst. Holloway carrying him down the road for several yards on the front of the vehicle. When the vehicle finally stopped the Cst. fell to the pavement striking the back of his head. Cst. Holloway was taken to hospital immediately where he was operated on but died from his injuries.
