S/Sgt. Pat Milligan is again getting ready to start the 6th year of the Kickz Soccer Program.  The Kickz program is a soccer program for youth usually between the ages of 7-12. This program is modeled after a project that the Metropolitan Police in London, England utilize.  The vision of the Kickz program is “to create safer, stronger, more respectful communities through the development of young people’s potential.”

The Guelph version of Kickz is an initiative that combines the efforts of several community partners in an effort to provide a healthy after-school activity for youth in the Onward Willow area.  Onward Willow is home to many in our community who are new to Canada, and also those facing some greater challenges related to their socioeconomic situation.

Said Pat Milligan, “Soccer has been a great mechanism for us to make a little difference in the lives of the these children.“

The program starts February 12th, 2014. For more information or to volunteer contact S/Sgt Milligan via the Contact Us form at the Guelph Police Association website.
